After completing this training, you will be able to:
  • Develop loan segmentation (loan pools) using specific criteria you select
  • Calculate the loss rate on your portfolio segments
  • Apply historical loss rates to your portfolio segments
  • Locate future indicators and historical trends available for qualitative and predictive elements
  • Use formulas to compute ALLL using historical loss rates and qualitative and predictive factors
  • Record the cumulative effect of adopting CECL based on these new calculations

Prerequisites: Basic understanding of how your institution currently calculates ALLL
Advanced Preparation: None
Who Should Attend: CPA, Auditor, team members responsible for implementing CECL
Program Level: Intermediate
